CryoStore Summer School 1
Summer School in Cryobiology | 21-26 August 2024
In August, CryoStore held its first Summer School at the Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) in Hannover, Germany. This summer school focused on cryobiology and was hosted by Prof. Birgit Glasmacher and colleagues at LUH. Students also received transferable skills training, including project time management, ethics and conflict management, science communication and an introduction to intellectual property rights.
Summer School in Cryobiology - program
On Saturday 24 August, a city tour was arranged with a guide to visit some of the historic areas of Hannover city. The weather was fantastic and all participants enjoyed the walk along the ‘red line’.
The school also included a beer brewing workshop. As Prof. Glasmacher so nicely put it ‘beer brewing is engineering’.
